Privacy Policy
De Keurboom Guesthouse respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect when you enquire or stay with us, why we collect it, and what rights you have under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
De Keurboom Guesthouse, 30 Keurboom Avenue, Amandelrug, Kuils River, Cape Town. You can reach us on info@keurboom.co.za, 021 903 6607 or 083 301 4257.
What we collect
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number, subject and message.
- When you book: the booking details you give our booking system, NightsBridge, which handles reservations and payment arrangements on our behalf.
- When you visit the site: standard technical information such as your browser type and pages viewed, through cookies set by this website and the services embedded in it (Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form, YouTube on the video tour, and the NightsBridge availability calendar).
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, to take and manage your booking, to arrange meals you have asked for, and to keep our own records of stays. We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.
Who else sees it
Only the people who need it to do their job: our own staff, our booking system NightsBridge, and our email and website hosting providers. We will also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking records for as long as we need them to run the guesthouse and to meet our legal and tax obligations, then we delete them.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email info@keurboom.co.za and we will respond. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work, but the booking calendar and the contact form may not.
